Zero Emissions Solutions Conference

The 2021 Zero Emissions Solutions Conference will bring together leaders and scientists from businesses, governments, and academia from around the world. Happening on the sidelines of COP26, the ZESC will host up to fifteen sessions across the first week of COP featuring distinguished speakers who will showcase solutions relevant to the high-level champions thematic days including policy technology solutions for: finance, energy, youth, and nature.

The 2019 LESC will bring together leaders and scientists from businesses, governments, and academia from around the world. Happening on the side lines of COP25, the LESC will host six panels featuring distinguished speakers who will showcase decarbonization solutions in power, transport, industrial, and buildings sectors, and highlight the sector coupling opportunities available with a systems approach.

The aim of this high-level dinner dialogue is to promote dialogue between business, government, and academia on what it means to realize a circular economy to various sectors and what are the key solutions to getting to net zero emissions across all sectors by mid-century.

The aim is of this event is to promote dialogue between business, government and academia on the role of land-use and natural climate solutions (NCS) as an essential component of climate action and bring continuity from the LESC event at GCAS which focused on the Land-Energy Nexus, as well as the Polish COP Presidency priorities. Over dinner, esteemed colleagues and experts will engage in an open discussion about the transition to a low-carbon future. With only a few keynote remarks, this dinner will work to achieve the following objectives.

LESC now returns to COP, creating a space for in-depth dialogue with policy-makers. We recognize the scale of the challenge in implementing ambitious NDCs, but also the need to take action at the city, local, and project level. As such, the theme of this LESC is “Accelerating Action”. We will bring together global leaders who are taking bold action.

The LESC panel will take place on day two of the 2018 International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD). It will feature high-level speakers who will present key outcomes from the LESC-GCAS event which is taking place at the Global Climate Action Summit in California just two weeks before ICSD.

The 2018 Global Climate Action Summit will bring together leaders from state and local governments and business from around the world. In an official GCAS affiliate side-event, LESC will host panels featuring distinguished speakers who will highlight the current state of technological solutions in each field and identify research, funding, and policy gaps.
